“Infidelity is a violation of the mutually agreed-upon rules or boundaries of an intimate relationship. There are two areas in a close relationship where infidelity mostly occurs: physical intimacy and emotional intimacy. In sexual infidelity, the impact is said to be not only about sex outside the relationship, but also about trust, betrayal, lying and disloyalty. What makes infidelity so painful is the fact that it involves someone deliberately using deception to violate established expectations within a relationship. Emotional infidelity is emotional involvement with another person, a process which leads one’s partner to channel emotional resources, such as romantic love, time, and attention, to someone else.” [1]

The causes of infidelity are numerous and can be simple or complicated. Living out of the wed lock.

In Costa Rica this subject is very controversial, even the society now is getting more open about it; lawyers, the society and, the church has an significant role around it. Although there are reasons to be good for couples, we believe our society still see this as a controversial issue.

According with the legal system in Costa Rica people can get legal rights as a married person after living together 3 years, for example to applied for a bank credit, some banks ask for a lawyer certification of have been living in free union, when people decided to move forward in their lives they are secure about that big step. When people don’t live together before get married they can have a risk on the relationship of being split and later have a problem, as well this can happen to people living out of the wed lock but at least they will know bether each other.

Also for the society is something controversial because all the disadvantages and prejudices people think, many are not agree because they think that are not compromise into the relationship, but that is not truth, people that live not married also have a lot of compromise and also it is a serious relationship, it is good to know the person first and know if the relation can work, no matter what people say.

From the religious point of view the Catholic Church only approves the marriage carried out by the church, any other type of union, already be free or civil it is not approved. On the same way the Catholic Church does not approve the premarital sex, the use of contraceptive methods and, the formation of a family out of wedlock. Nevertheless at present that a couple live united and without being married it has turned into something daily, though for the church this means that these pairs live in sin, something about what the society has stopped thinking.

As a conclusion, living out of the wed lock has consequences, for some negatives and for other positives; it depends on culture, customs, beliefs, values, among others. Life in society is complex and involves many aspects, from the theme developed could see the legal, religious and, social, but more important is that couples choose the option that is comfortable for them.

The Blind Side

The Blind Side movie shows a big difference between social classes and how the racism can affect the behavior of a person. This movie shows in one part, a young, who has suffered throughout his life, with a dysfunctional family, educational problems, even without a place to live. In the other hand, the movie shows a family with a lot of money, a big house, with great cars and, accustomed to the good life.

The young, called Michael has a lot of qualities and talents, like protective instinct, sports talents and, facilities to learn; but due to poor quality of life he cannot explode these qualities. Michael is a shy boy, he does not believe in himself and has a low self-esteem; all these problems affect his behavior in the school and his development in the society.

Also, we can see in the movie how the influence of the social class is for some people, but is important to mentioning the charity of Lean come out to help Michael and bring to him a better life. However, in our real life, we cannot see a lot of people doing these kinds of actions; on the other hand, is what put us to think if we are available to help some with the profile of Michael or we will avoid it?

On the other side, the movie emphasizes the importance of the family figure nowadays, and how influence the environment where we as children grow up, the values and opportunities that we can choose, and the courage to confront it. Also, how with small actions we can change the entire life of a person, and see how the self-esteem is a big part of that.
Finally, this movie put us to think until what I could be capable to help, and if we will help to change, we could do it without expecting anything return?

Globalization of infectious diseases.

Globalization, the flow of information, goods, capital and people across political and geographic boundaries, has helped to spread some of the deadliest infectious diseases known to humans. The spread of diseases across wide geographic scales has increased through history. Etiology, the modern branch of science that deals with the causes of infectious disease, recognizes five major modes of disease transmission: airborne, waterborne, blood borne, by direct contact, and through vector (insects or other creatures that carry germs from one species to another). The diseases that most affect our world are: Plague, Measles, Typhus, Syphilis, Smallpox, Leprosy, Malaria, Tuberculosis and HIV/AIDS. This phenomenon can affect our way of life and has a lot of consequences in many countries. It is important to be careful and implement prevention measures.

Disadvantages of Immigration

Immigration is the introduction of new people into a habitat or population. The International Organization for Migration (IOM) said there are more than 200 million migrants around the world today. Europe hosted the largest number of immigrants, with 70.6 million people in 2005, the latest year for which figures are available. North America, with over 45.1 million immigrants, is second, followed by Asia, which hosts nearly 25.3 million. Most of today's migrant workers come from Asia. The United Nations estimates that there are 214 million migrants across the globe, an increase of about 37% in two decades.
There are a lot of disadvantages of immigration, some of them are:
· Immigrants may bring in diseases that prevailed in their country.
· Less educated immigrants are believed to increase theft, violence and other malpractices in a nation.
· A person who is an immigrant does not have good conditions in the other country, for example they have problems to find a good job or they do not have access to health service, among others.
Immigrants try to find a better quality of life, but the most of the time they suffer abuse and discrimination. It is important to note that the immigrants are human beings and they deserve respect.

Poverty

This is a story about my cousin, Tony. He lives in Bahía Ballena on the Pacific Cost of Costa Rica. He is 20 years old and, he studied until school. Currently he works doing tours to see whales and, every afternoon goes to fishing to obtain some food.

Tony and his family live with no one luxury, they do not have a car, a computer, a plasma TV and, a play station. They do not know what facebook, a messenger or an e- mail is. They have a simple life; with no complications but with no one accommodation.

Several times my parents told him: “Tony come and live with us, and study and look for a good job”; but he said “Oh no, this is my place, I like to live here, I do not want a good job or to live in the city, I do not need any more than the thing that I have”.

Tony wants to live in his town all his life. Sometimes I ask to myself if, ¿he is really poor? He does not have all the material things that we have in the city; but in the other hand he has a relax life, no preoccupations, the money is not a priority and the most important, he is always happy.

Weapons of Mass Destruction

A weapon of mass destruction is a weapon that can kill and bring significant harm to a large numbers of humans and other life forms, cause great damage to man-made structures, for instance buildings or houses; damage natural structures like mountains, valleys and oceans; even can damage biosphere in general. There are different kinds of mass destruction weapons such as chemical, biological, radiological, or nuclear.

Thanks God our country does not have army and not participate in war or conflicts with other countries. Every year many countries around the world spend a lot of money on weapons of mass destruction; if the government of other countries uses the money that they spend in weapons maybe poverty can disappear in the world.

In my opinion it is terrible to see how a group of people that defend political ideologies can affect an entire world and endanger the life of millions of human beings. We need to be more conscious about the use of weapons and try to solve our problems peacefully.

Global Warming

Most of the countries of the world are very worried about global warming. Some governments and institutions decided to take some measures on climate change; for example: use green energy or other clean energy sources, use the Tesla Roadster that is an all-electric sport car, separate the garbage, recycle, use solar panels, build environmentally friendly buildings among others. These measures help to decrease global warming in the world. Currently the damage is terrible for human beings and increases every day, according to studies every year a part of the planet melts and if we continue with a bad behavior to the environment we can finish with the planet and disappear all the species that inhabit the globe. It is important to teach people about those problems, do an effort to make the difference and help to save our planet. In the past our ancestors take care of the planet, now is our turn to do something and preserve the life.
